Yesterday Fashion Metric attended a meetup group hosted by Third Wave Fashion, held at StartEngine HQ in Los Angeles. It was a great event to hear panelists from awesome Fashion Tech companies in the Los Angeles area talk about their reflections on their business and operations in Los Angeles. So who are Third Wave Fashion? They are a company based out of New York who work at the forefront of fashion and tech by helping build and create fashion tech startups as well as being super connectors to enterprises and the fashion community. Los Angeles has been on their radar as a burgeoning scene for Fashion Tech, so they held a meet-up here while on their west-coast tour that includes visiting San Francisco next.
The meet-up consisted of two demos from new startups here in LA including Fidoo and Unscruff. That was followed up by the focus of the evening – a panel discussion with a series of Fashion Tech companies based out of LA.
MJ Eng, Founder & President of ShoeDazzle
Alisa Gould-Simon, Co-Founder & VP of Creative & Partnerships at Pose
David Oh, Director of Acquisitions at BeachMint
Dan Murillo, CEO of Little Black Bag
Robin Kaminsky, Executive Resident of Rustic Canyon
With some great discussions and networking opportunities, it’s clear that Los Angeles is becoming more on the map in the Fashion Tech space!
